This document has been prepared by Ailesh (PT Cipta Inovasi Berkelanjutan) and PT Rohul Sawit Industri for submission to the PROPER Secretariat of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. The scope and objectives of this study were determined based on discussions with the Rohul Sawit Industri team. The data used in this study was collected by the Energy Management Team of PT Rohul Sawit Industri and supplemented with measurements conducted by Ailesh’s energy audit team.
PT Rohul Sawit Industri is a palm oil processing company with a 90-ton/hour processing capacity, converting fresh fruit bunches into Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Kernel. Established on August 1, 2002, the company is a subsidiary of Bumitama Gunajaya Agro (BGA) Group and is located in Suka Damai Village, Ujung Batu District, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. In an effort to enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint, the company collaborated with Ailesh to conduct an energy audit to identify potential energy-saving opportunities in its facilities.
The audit scope covered two main operational areas: electrical systems and thermal systems.
✅ Load Optimization and Electrical Load Balancing
✅ Installation of Variable Speed Drives (VSD) for Electric Motor Operation
✅ Re-drawing of Boiler Installation and Steam Distribution (Schematic and Isometric)
✅ Improvement of Insulation and Leak Repairs on Steam Distribution Pipes
✅ Enhancing Boiler Efficiency through Heat Recovery from Flue Gas for Preheating Combustion Air
This energy audit has provided valuable insights for PT Rohul Sawit Industri in managing its energy consumption more efficiently and sustainably. Implementing the proposed recommendations will not only result in operational cost savings but also support the company’s decarbonization targets and contribute to a more sustainable palm oil industry.
As a leading energy consultancy, Ailesh remains committed to assisting industries in achieving energy efficiency and long-term decarbonization through innovative and data-driven solutions.
