PT J Resources Bolaang Mongondow

This document, prepared by Ailesh (PT Cipta Inovasi Berkelanjutan) in collaboration with PT J Resources, provides a comprehensive analysis of the company's energy profile and emissions load over the past five years (2020–2024, January–June). It also highlights the energy efficiency initiatives implemented to enhance sustainability and operational performance.

Client Benefits:

  • Facilitates accurate measurement of emissions, enabling the identification of major emission sources and the development of targeted reduction strategies.
  • Supports the establishment of emission reduction targets based on a thorough assessment of emissions load.
  • Enhances corporate transparency and accountability to key stakeholders, including investors, customers, and the public.
  • Strengthens the company's appeal to investors increasingly focused on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors and sustainability performance.

Project Overview:

PT J Resources has consistently recorded its energy consumption as part of an internal evaluation process to optimize energy efficiency and establish a comprehensive energy profile. In alignment with the company’s commitment to supporting Indonesia’s Net Zero Emission target by 2060, PT J Resources has adopted a policy to reduce emissions by 0.3% annually.

To achieve this objective, the company has conducted detailed calculations of its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions based on emission source types. Additionally, various energy efficiency initiatives have been implemented to reduce overall emissions. These programs have resulted in significant energy savings and a measurable reduction in emissions generated throughout the production process.

The effectiveness of these initiatives has been assessed through the establishment of a baseline, derived from initial pre-implementation data. By comparing the baseline with the achieved savings and emissions reduction, the overall effectiveness of the programs was determined to be 19%. This result represents a strong foundation for further efforts in accelerating emissions reduction and advancing sustainability within the company.
