Ailesh's team conducted a site visit to PT Sorik Marapi Geothermal Power (SMGP) in Mandailing Natal, North Sumatra, as part of an ongoing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) project. PT SMGP operates a geothermal power plant that utilizes organic Rankine cycle (ORC) technology to maximize electricity generation. This visit was crucial for validating the plant's electricity production process, establishing system boundaries, and gathering essential data for the LCA study.
